Has The Caulking Gun Been Re-invented?
Awesome, thanks for taking us along for the ride. Always wanted to follow the process from the start
Well done, Shannon, I've always liked your Canadian home style presentation. When choosing the size of the ledger board, is it fair to say you simply use the same size as your joists that tie to it at right angles? Or, are you better off choosing the same size as your beams? Regarding your selection of beam and joist size, is the Canadian wood council prescriptive guide for residential decks a good reference choice?
👍🏻👍🏻
Fascinating! Thank you for explaining this for me! It made me appreciate the complexity in planning and building a new home. 🤩
You are so welcome!
love your work, when i turn my under light on it gets extremely hot under the microwave and the plate inside the microwave. i am afraid this might cause a fire, is this normal. thank you
Does not sound normal. Are you sure the proper sized bulb is being used?
Awesome! Thank you for this video!🙏
Coming along quickly! Looking good
Omg best video explanation of how to clean A/C condenser ever thank you! I’m a 65 yr old female and I am going to do this tomorrow 😊
You can do it!
Great video! I did my previous house a few years ago, but had forgotten about doing this. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
My bolts came with two large metal disks to spread the weight over the cabinet floor. Maybe my unit is heavier?
Some have that and some just have a large flat head on the bolt
@@HouseImprovements yes I removed the two screws and there's no weight on them. It was pretty confusing but it looks like the exhaust vent is holding up the microwave and it was installed in a way that makes it very difficult for me to remove the exhaust vent so I can get at the exhaust vent mounting bracket.
Thank You. I have subscribed.
Thanks for the sub!
Just relit my water heater. Been taking cold showers for four days. Thank you so much.
This was the best video for installing sliding shower doors! Easy to follow! I’m just starting on my home improvements and have subscribed as I know I will be referring to this channel for many more projects…painting bathroom cabinets is next on the list!!
Awesome! Thank you!
Excellent video. Concise and to the point. Thank you.
Awesome video. Thank you so much. Impeccable work. ❤
Late in the day my good man but what a great tip, soooo much easier than pinch bar etc. So, I very rarely feed back on youtube stuff but when it REALLY works then I say high 5
Glad it helped!
On my door, the entire bottom comes off after removing 8 or 9 screws and two bolts at either end. If you're does this, just remove the entire track, remove the old seal, replace with new seal and reinstall the track.
why not vacuum the fins first before spraying the cleaner?
Need to be careful with the fins they bend easy
Note that the cut edges are rust prone, so it is best to hide the cut edge under the ridge cap or other transitions and have the factory edge be exposed to the weather. I've been told that using snips to make the cuts reduces the rust problem, but I find it very slow and difficult to cut wavy roof panels with tin snips. The fastest thing is to actually use a circular saw with a regular carbide blade on it and just accept that it will have a much shorter life than usual. The money spent on a new blade after you trash it cutting metal is worth the time saved.
WD-40 has a white lithium grease version that works perfectly. But yes the "normal" version is not appropriate for this objective
interesting.
I would be embarrassed to do footing that looked like that!! They should take some pride and vibrate and hand trial them off before the stick there stubs in the concrete.
I honestly was a little surprised as well.
❤
Excellent video! Thanks for including all of the little details about the set screw. Helped tremendously.
Awesome educational video. Just what I needed. Short and sweet to the point.
I havent seen a video from you in awhile. Nice
we have not stopped, and are releasing even more right now with this project.
@@HouseImprovements must be the algorithm picking you back up again. I'll back watch everything
Thanks!
Wow, awesome, thank you.
@@HouseImprovements you've been a great help for first time home buyers like me. Just to understand this Thanks concept, does UA-cam takes a cut in what user sends you.
About the cost- in Calif, roofing contractors are required to pay for worker’s comp insurance. The last time I checked, my insurance cost the same as the wages. That sends costs up.
Thank you! Very helpful information. Worked like a charm too. Very quiet garage door now.
You're a life saver Sir. Thanks a lot
Getting ready to pour sidewalk on side of my house, this definitely helps!
What's that black bag cover for inside
Its a sound cover to reduce the compressor noise.
What if I just use my air compressor from the inside ?
. Just be very careful not to use too much pressure or you will bend the fins as you pass by them. Water would be better IMO
@@HouseImprovements ok. I’ll use water. Thanks for your time sir!
Looks great
What are we gonna do watch you travel all day?
sump pump. what if hurricannes and you have no power for days. basement fills with water??
Well I dont have that issue here with hurricanes but if I did I would use a battery back up sump pump or a generator
Question what kind of finishing you use thank you
There is a link in the video description.
Seems like all the plastic in those Styrofoam forms would substantially weaken the foundation walls and also leave a lot of places where water can easily penetrate the walls.
No not at all. The walls are still 8" of solid concrete.
T u for your video. You have a soft voice and it made my project …. Less stressful! T u
Hey Shannon. Love your videos as many of them have helped me out on multiple occasions. I'm just beginning a very similar project and was thinking about insulation As a previous person commented on insulation (2 inch foundation plus eps under the slab). Im of the mindset that due to your depth (well over 4 ft) it would be a waste of money with little benifit. Thoughts? If i was going to make my basement a living space my thoughts would be that a good insulated sub floor would be money better spent? Just looking for your opinion as i value it!! Thanks again for all the helpful content. Thanks again man!!!
Your thinking is not wrong, but in some areas you may need to insulate the slab for efficiency code or if you are heating the slab then the foam is a good idea. It would be 2" foam and 4" slab. I'm not sure but 2" insulation is likely cheaper than products like Dry-core insulated subfloor panels
so good. please don't talk so much and get on with doing the job
Thanks for the update. Definitely looking good at this stage. Looking forward to the next video.
Thanks for watching!
Is that radon rock a code requirement, or is your area prone to radon issues?
Required here as Radon can be an issue .
Cool!
use clr
Not sure how that reacts to the fin material?
Salute bro🫡 all your videos are always very helpful and detailed on how to do the proper installation on anything. Thanks for the video.
That's gonna be a nice cabin
Nice rough
Welcome back. Nice project
Thanks!
It wouldn't hurt to insulate under the concrete floor too. I've seen that done quite a bit.
If we planned to live there we likely would but that is not the plan
Well done! Did you uncover anything interesting in the dig?
Nothing note able, but you can watch the video and see how it went.ua-cam.com/video/j16CiMZtU4U/v-deo.html
